This work uses digital illustration to replicate the Greek pottery to recreate the book cover of Homer’s “The Odyssey.”

Using the apps Procreate and Adobe illustrator. Influenced by ancient Greek pottery; very stylized and closely relating to The Odyssey. The front cover shows a stylized design with a shipwreck in the ocean and the book title at the top half of the cover. The spine has the title and author horizontally at the top with a branch design going down the spine. The back cover has extra book information at the top with a design of a Greek home on hills at the bottom. The design is the same style as the front.

Taking a Mythology class lead to a huge inspiration in the culture and I hope to give this inspiration to the viewers. I hope to keep working in relation to cultures to make visual designs.
